Before You Start

Slice the banana into coins, line a small tray with parchment, and clear a flat spot in the freezer.

How To Make It
  1. Spread a little peanut butter between two banana coins to make small sandwiches, then lay them on the lined tray.
  2. Freeze the bites, about 20 minutes, until they are firm enough to dip without falling apart.
  3. Melt the dark chocolate gently in short bursts, 1 to 2 minutes total, stirring until it is smooth and pourable.
  4. Dip each frozen bite halfway, set it back on the tray, and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
  5. Freeze again, about 10 minutes, until the chocolate sets firm, then keep them cold and eat straight from the freezer.
Fix It: If the chocolate seizes into a thick paste, stir in a few drops of oil to bring it back to a smooth dip.
