Before You Start

Heat the oven to 375掳F, chop the apples, and grab a small dish so you can fill it fast.

How To Make It
  1. Toss the chopped apples with the cinnamon and maple syrup.
  2. Spread the apples in a small ovenproof dish and scatter the oats and chopped walnuts over the top.
  3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until the apples are soft when pierced and the topping is golden.
  4. Let it cool 5 minutes so it is not scalding, then dig in.
Fix It: If the topping browns before the apples soften, lay a piece of foil over the dish and keep baking until they give easily.
Air Fryer
  1. Heat the air fryer to 380F.
  2. Add the ingredients you would cook on the stove or in the oven in a single layer, without crowding the basket.
  3. Cook for about 25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until cooked through and lightly crisp.
  4. Let it rest a minute, then finish and plate the dish as written in the steps above.
