Before You Start

Pat the chicken dry, cut the broccoli into florets, mince the garlic and ginger, and warm the rice so everything lands hot.

How To Make It
  1. Season and sear the chicken breast in a pan over medium, 6 to 8 minutes a side, until golden and it reaches 165°F in the center with no pink, then set it aside to rest.
    165°F
  2. Steam the broccoli in a covered pan with a splash of water, 3 to 4 minutes, until bright green and just tender.
  3. Add the spinach and cook, 1 to 2 minutes, until it wilts.
  4. Toss the broccoli and spinach with the coconut aminos, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and sesame seeds off the burner.
  5. Slice the chicken and serve it with the vegetables over the brown rice.
Fix It: If the outside is done but the center is still pink, lower the heat and cover the pan for a couple of minutes to finish it to 165°F.
Air Fryer
  1. Heat the air fryer to 380F.
  2. Add the ingredients you would cook on the stove or in the oven in a single layer, without crowding the basket.
  3. Cook for about 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until cooked through and lightly crisp.
  4. Let it rest a minute, then finish and plate the dish as written in the steps above.
Microwave
  1. Add the ingredients you would cook together to a microwave safe bowl along with their liquid.
  2. Cover loosely and microwave in one minute bursts, stirring between each, until hot through.
  3. Let it stand for a minute, then finish and plate the dish as written in the steps above.
